Man seriously injured in cement truck crash on Hwy 26
PRINEVILLE, Ore. - A man was seriously injured when his cement mixer truck crashed on Highway 26 northwest of Prineville Tuesday morning.
Dwain Storm, 61, of Prineville, was driving westbound on the highway when the truck went off the side of the road and crashed into a dirt embankment, according to state police spokesman Gregg Hastings.
The truck rolled onto its side and spilled cement onto the road. The highway was closed for about four hours.
Medics took Storm to a hospital. He was later flown by air ambulance to a medical center in Bend, Ore.
It's unclear what caused the truck to travel off the highway.
The truck is registered to Prineville Sand and Gravel, Hastings said.
