Police ID man hit, killed by train near federal building in Eugene
EUGENE, Ore. - A train hit and killed a man near the U.S. Federal Building just after midnight Wednesday morning, Eugene Police said.
Police identified the man as Justin Brian Mohr, 32, of Eugene.
A southbound Union Pacific train hit the man on the tracks near 8th and Broadway at 12:10 a.m., police said. The man was taken to the hospital, where he died from his "catastrophic injuries," police said.
Investigators do not yet know why Mohr was on the tracks.
