Man hit in head by helicopter rotor blade
LAKESIDE, Ore. - A helicopter rotor blade hit a man in the head on Monday.
The victim was taken to Bay Area Hospital and later flown to OHSU for further treatment. His identity was not immediately available.
The accident happened shortly after 3 p.m. when an aircraft from PJ's Helicopters of Red Bluff, Calif., landed at the Lakeside Airport to refuel.
While in the process of refueling, a rotor blade hit an employee of the company in the head, the sheriff's office said.
