Albany man dead after crash on Hwy 58
CRESCENT LAKE, Ore. - An Albany-area man died Monday morning when his car slid on an icy stretch of Highway 58 and collided with an oncoming SUV, Oregon State Police said.
Three people in the SUV were taken by ground and air ambulance to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend for treatment.
The crash happened around 7:15 a.m. on Highway 58 about 5 miles west of Crescent Lake.
Investigators said Alex Sergio Serrano, 26, from the Albany area lost control of his 2004 Subaru and slid into oncoming traffic, police said.
The Subaru collided with a 2010 Nissan SUV, killing Serrano.
Three people in the SUV - Duane Cary Sieg, 51; Kaelynn Keyes Sieg, 51; and Dylan Cole Sieg, 19; all from La Pine - were injured.
