Man accused of fatal DUII crash pleads not guilty
ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The District Attorney's office says Shaun Lowry has pleaded not guilty on all the charges he is facing for a fatal accident in August of 2013.
Lowry, 33, is facing charges of manslaughter, DUII, assault and failure to perform the duties of a driver, among others.
Authorities say that in August of 2013, Lowry was driving a vehicle that struck and killed a pedestrian, Amanda Bell, 24, of Myrtle Creek.
Shawnacy Hyatt, 37, of Roseburg, was also seriously injured when police say the vehicle struck the two as they were walking on Lookingglass Road.
The Douglas County Circuit Court says his trial is scheduled to start on September 16.
