Library: Sheldon branch, closed due to vandalism, will reopen Thursday
EUGENE, Ore. - After falling victim to vandals last weekend, the Sheldon Branch of the Eugene Public Library will re-open on Thursday.
The branch was closed Monday through Wednesday for cleanup after vandals broke out a window and discharged a fire extinguisher inside the building.
Police arrested two teens in connection with damage to the library and several nearby businesses.
The library will re-open at 10 a.m. Thursday.
"Items on hold at Sheldon Branch that were due to expire during the unexpected closure will be kept on the shelves for pick up through Monday, September 18," the library said in a statement.
