Level 2 Evacuation set for Horse Prairie Fire

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. - As the Horse Prairie Fire continues to burn southeast of Camas Valley, a Level 2 Evacuation notice -"Get Ready"- has been issued for residents living on Lower Cow Creek Road, from the end of County Maintenance to Union Creek.

This includes residents living on Doe Creek Road.

This may be the only notice that residents receive. Emergency services cannot guarantee that they will be able to notify residents if conditions rapidly deteriorate.

Residents should closely monitor official outlets for additional information.

Residents with landline telephone numbers may be contacted via an automated emergency notification system from the Sheriff's Office.
