Keizer Police investigate vehicle vs. pedestrian crash

KEIZER, Ore. -- Police in Keizer are investigating a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash that occurred Tuesday night.

Officers arrived on scene at 9:24 p.m. on River Road N. and Sam Orcutt Way NE where a man was found in the roadway with obvious injuries, the report said.

He was transported to the Salem Hospital and is currently being cared for.

The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with police while the investigation is ongoing, police said.

The southbound lanes of River Road North were closed for a brief time, but are not open for normal traffic, police reported at 2 a.m. Wednesday.

No names are being released at this time until family of the pedestrian who was involved can be located and notified, police said.
