EUGENE, Ore. - Alicia Seymour brought her son Sebastian to Amazon Park to play on the fire truck.
Sebastian was disappointed yellow caution tape blocked the play structure. Last week, the City of Eugene closed some parks to the public in the wake of ice-storm damage to trees.
"My son's very sad he can't be on the fire engine," Alicia said, "but other than that, most of the park is fine."
Ice-damaged trees and localized flooding closed have forced the City of Eugene to close some public parks to the public.
The Hendricks Park Rhododendron Garden, the playground at Amazon Park and all of University Park are closed until further notice.
