Horseback riders show off their skills at 'No Bling in the Ring'
EUGENE, Ore. - Horse riders showed off their best moves in Eugene on Sunday, as the Oregon Horse Center showcased dozens of riders from all around the country.
The event, called the "No Bling in the Ring," tested horseback riders on basic skills.
Later in November, the arena will be turned into an outdoor mountainous trail, and organizers say that the 15th annual National Mountain Trail Championship brings the outdoors inside.
"We are going to build 20-foot waterfalls, we are going to build lakes, we are going to build all kinds of mountain trails, and we are going to build trick obstacles that really challenges these horses and mules," said Major Defoe, owner of the Oregon Horse Center.
Defoe says this is by far their most popular show, and the event starts the first week of November. For more information you can visit https://www.oregonhorsecenter.com/.
