Harvest Festival lets visitors enjoy Veneta

The Harvest Festival in Veneta, OR.

VENETA, Ore. - The 8th annual Harvest Festival welcomed hundreds of people on a sunny Saturday afternoon.

The one day event typically raises around $3,000 a year for the community, and proceeds from the festival finance senior services in the Fern Ridge area.

More than 70 booths and live music kept downtown Veneta busy throughout the day on Saturday, and visitors were able to experience the quaint town just outside of Eugene.

"Veneta is mostly well known for the Country Fair, so this is just another way to support local vendors," said Deanna Townsend, the Event Organizer. "We have a lot of local businesses that come down here and a lot of home-grown businesses that participate."

The event was organized by Mid Lane Cares, and it raises money for services all around the Fern Ridge community. The group is always looking for more help, for more information visit
