EUGENE, Ore. - The Beavers have a problem.
There's a 90-foot sequoia tree in their yard.
Homeowners Rick and Mindy Beaver said the root of the problem is that the tree is crushing the stairs on the back porch.
As Mindy puts it, the root of the problem is they're afraid the foundation is next.
"What sold us on the lot was the tree itself and so you know, making the decision to remove the tree was pretty hard," Mindy said.
Eugene Water and Electric Board crews got the project started by trimming branches. Mike Rose from M.R. Tree Service was contracted out to finish the job.
"Due to the tree's size, we'll have to come in with a crane and actually remove the trunk of the tree," Rose said.
