EUGENE, Ore. – There’s still time to donate bowls to FOOD for Lane County’s Empty Bowls sale.

The money raised from selling pottery and ceramics helps feed Lane County residents in need.

The bowls are all hand crafted and they start at $10.

In the 26-year history of the bowl sale, the event has raised about $15,000 – enough for 45,000 meals for the community each year.

“What a better way to celebrate than the simplicity of, of a bowl that many people cannot fill on their own,” said Dawn Marie Woodward, FOOD for Lane County events coordinator.

This year the event includes brews. Sam Bond’s Brewing will donate a dollar for each pint sold that day.

The sale is on May 5th at Sam Bond's Brewing at 540 E 8th Ave in Eugene.
