Fire rips through Oakland home

OAKLAND, Ore. -- A fire severely damaged a home in Oakland on Monday, bringing out fire crews from Oakland and surrounding areas.

Firefighters from Oakland and Douglas County Fire District #2 responded to the home in the 300 block of Second Street at around 2:00 p.m.

Fire crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the home.

Crews got the fire out, but not before it did major damage to the structure.

Information about the home's owner and the value have not been released at this point.
