CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Excitement is brewing for Beaver nation for Saturday's season opener against Eastern Washington at Reser Stadium.
A sea of orange and black was seen across Corvallis as fans prepped for Saturday's kickoff.
"I think the energy of the entire town comes up," said Patrick Liyton, a die-hard Beavers fan. "When it's time to come around, we're going to have a good year and I'm excited about this."
"The energy it brings to the campus, a lot of spirit comes up and a lot of alumni come to visit us," said Randall Milstein, a faculty member at Oregon State.
Local businesses spent Friday preparing for the influx of Beaver faithful.
"We have a lot of people in the morning," said Kyle East, a barista at The Beanery. "Even if it's an afternoon game, we have a line out the door."
Even those who never been to a football game, like OSU student Waleed Mahmoud, are catching "Beaver-fever".
"I've seen it on TV, grown up watching it on TV and I think it'll be pretty amazing to get to watch it in real life," Mahmoud said.
Kickoff for Saturday's game is at 3 p.m. and can be seen on the Pac-12 Network.
