EUGENE, Ore. -- Eugene Police Department is investigating a Sunday night motorcycle crash that diverted traffic on eastbound I-105 east of Coburg.

Officers responded to the crash around 11:40 p.m. Sunday.

Police say a motorcyclist traveling eastbound struck a trailer being towed by a vehicle.

The motorcyclist was transported to Riverbend Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Responding officers provided medical treatment by immediately applying a tourniquet on scene, the report said.

Traffic was diverted from eastbound I-105 for about an hour and a half. It was re-opened by 1 a.m. Monday.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation and no citations have been issued.

Police say alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
