Eugene Police ID homicide victim, appeal to public for help
EUGENE, Ore. - Police made a public appeal Friday for tips in the homicide investigation into the death of a 50-year-old Eugene man.
Christopher Anthony Stanghellini was found dead October 18 near the railroad track under the Chambers Street overpass.
Investigators have determined Stanghellini was the victim of a homicide.
Police said Stanghellini, who also went by the last name Yingling, frequented the Eugene Mission, The Dining Room downtown, and the Eugene Library. He was 5-foot-7, 150 pounds with brown hair, a gray beard and pierced ears.
