Eugene man catches home intruders, holds them at gunpoint until police arrive
EUGENE, Ore. (KVAL) - Two people now face charges after police say they broke into a Eugene home and were detained by the homeowner at gunpoint.
Eugene Police say 22-year-old Ryan Michael Best and 21-year-old Arcelia Marie Vasquez-Smith entered the house on Willona Drive Saturday.
EPD says the occupants in the home heard banging noises inside their garage.
While one of the residents called 9-1-1, the 44-year-old homeowner armed himself and went into the garage where he found Best and Vazquez-Smith.
The homeowner ordered the trespassers to a prone position and held them until police arrived.
