EUG Parade, Sunday Streets offer free fun in downtown Eugene
EUGENE, Ore. - The EUG Parade kicks off a day of people-powered fun downtown Sunday.
The non-motorized parade starts at Monroe Park at 10:30 a.m. and heads east on Broadway to the Park Blocks.
Eugene Sunday Streets takes over after the parade, with activity centers at Monroe Park, Broadway Plaza and the Park Blocks.
An "after party" in the Park Blocks starts at 4:30 p.m. with a Bollywood dance party until 6 p.m. High Step Society headlines the party from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The parade and downtown party are free - unless you are a motorist.

Traffic will be allowed through at Washington, Jefferson and Pearl streets.
"Volunteers will be at the intersections assisting drivers as well as encouraging participants on the route to ride safely and have fun," Eugene Public Works said in a statement. "Drivers are encouraged to give themselves extra time to deal with detours and short delays."
