ALBANY, Ore. - A 21-year-old woman suffered serious injuries when her Jeep crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with the rear axle of an empty log truck Thursday.
The woman was rushed by air ambulance to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis.
The driver of the log truck was not injured.
The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. as the woman drove westbound on Highway 20 near Albany.
State police said that for an unconfirmed reason, the Jeep went off the side of the road. The driver overcorrected, veering into the oncoming log truck.
