DEXTER, Ore. - A double tanker truck hauling more than 11,000 gallons of diesel and gasoline overturned on Highway 58, blocking the road 6 miles east of Pleasant Hill.
Oregon DOT closed the highway until around 10 p.m. Friday as crews salvaged the fuel load before righting and removing the truck and trailers.
An estimated 400 gallons of fuel spilled from the tank, ODOT said.
Most of the spillage was contained to the road surface where absorbant material was placed.
Some of the fuel spilled onto the shoulder and nearby soil. Precautions taken have kept the fuel from reaching any surface water.
