Do you recognize them? Police investigate break-in at Coos County home

CHARLESTON, Ore. -- Authorities n Coos County are reviewing security footage and asking citizens if they recognize anyone in surveillance photos snapped during a overnight break-in.

The Coos County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported attempted burglary at a Cape Arago Hwy residence around 4:30 am. Wednesday.

Video surveillance footage shows three people entered onto the property and remained there for a couple minutes and appeared to leave.

About a minute after they departed, one of them returned and kicked the front door of the residence open.

When the door was forced open, the installed alarm immediately activated an audible sound, waking the property owners and forcing the suspects to immediately flee.

"There was damage to the door which had been forced open causing criminal mischief," the sheriff's office said. "No theft was reported."
