DA: Man found guilty of sexually abusing 7-year-old girl
ROSEBURG, Ore. -- A man was found guilty on Wednesday of sexually abusing a young girl in Douglas County.
Judge Ronald Poole found Steven Carl Prince, 43, guilty of first degree sodomy following a one day bench trial.
The charges stemmed from an incident that occurred in 2007 or 2008, when the victim was seven years old and Prince was temporarily staying in the victim's household, according to the Douglas County District Attorney's office.
The investigation was conducted by the Sutherlin Police Department.
First degree sodomy is a Measure 11 offense, and caries a presumptive sentence of 300 months if the victim is under 12 years of age.
