Computer program shows promise for people with memory loss
EUGENE, Ore. - This computer software has everything!
Jokes. Facts about history. Virtual travel.
But at Farmington Square living community, this is more than just a fun game.
It's a way for people with memory loss to retain some of their memories.
"When you trigger something in somebody's memory," explains Trixie Wentz, activities director, "they can reminisce and tell you about what happened at that time, or I remember this."
This is the "It's Never 2 Late" program.
The software brings joy to people with memory loss, whether with a song from the past or a photo of loved ones.
"We can even watch old commercials," Wentz said, "and they can reminisce over old commercials."
