MARION COUNTY, Ore. - A bomb scare in Marion County on Saturday morning turned out to be full of beans.
Deputies were called to a power substation on Front Street to investigate a suspicious package. When they got there, they found a metal pot with tin foil attached to it.
They sealed the area off and called the Oregon State Police bomb squad.
The problem wasn't as meaty as feared. Once the pot was opened, troopers said they found "some kind of bean soup."
Deputies issued a reminder to the public to dispose of trash appropriately.
