Bicyclist hit along Hwy 99

EUGENE, Ore. -- A bicyclist was hit by a pickup truck Wednesday evening along Highway 99, Eugene Police said.

The cyclist, a 40-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries, police officials said.

Officers were called out to the crash on Highway 99 just after 5 p.m. Wednesday. They closed down one of the southbound lanes near Pattison Street to investigate the crash.

Eugene Police said a 57-year-old man driving a GMC truck crashed into the bicyclist.

Police haven't issued any citations in the crash as of yet, officials said. Investigators are still looking into the crash.
