'Anyone who thinks they know Shakespeare, come and see it fresh'

EUGENE, Ore. - Rose Childrens Theatre presents their production of Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" this weekend.

The 22 performers from 5th through 11th grades said memorizing lines was time consuming, but it's something they'll remember forever.

Director Judy Wenger said she is "beyond proud" of the kids and advises, "Anyone who thinks they know Shakespeare, to come and see it fresh, through the kids eyes."

The performers said to expect a tale of love, magic and adventure, filled with fairies and lots of laughs.

Show times are 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, and 2pm Sunday, Feb. 23.

Tickets are $8 and can be purchased online at or at the box office before each performance.
