Albany man, 24, drowns in Willamette River
CORVALLIS, Ore. - A 24-year-old Albany man drowned in the Willamette River on Sunday.
The boyd of Lee Roy Allen Dow was recovered by divers around 7:24 p.m.
Firefighters started searching just before 6 p.m. when witnesses reported Dow had slipped from his innertube and vanished underwater near the Crystal Lake Boat Ramp.
He was not wearing a life vest.
His body was recovered close to where he was last seen, the sheriff's office said.
