6 ways to save money at the Lane County Fair

EUGENE, Ore. - The Lane County Fair opens Wednesday.

Want to make the most of it?

Here are 6 tips.

BUY A SEASON PASS

General admission is $9 for adults, $7 for seniors. Youth ages 6 to 12 are $6; children 5 and under are free.

But through Tuesday, July 19, you can buy a Season Passgood for admission any day of the fair for $20. The passes are available to Bi-Mart locations in Lane County.

DAILY SPECIALS

On Sunday, admission is free from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a donation of 3 cans of food for Food for Lane County. It's one of several daily specials at the fair.

GIVE BLOOD

If you register to give blood with Lane Blood Center, you can receive a free pass to the day of your choice at the fair.

RIDE BRACELETS

You can buy a ride bracelet online or at any Lane County Walgreens for $37.50 for any one day of the Fair and ride unlimited rides until 10 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday or until 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Three games are included with this pre-sale bracelet, and 1 of the following: corndog, medium soda or popcorn from the Funtastic Carnival food booths only.

During the Fair, these bracelets may be purchased for $50.

Fair admission is not included.

BUY RIDE TICKETS IN ADVANCE

Individual tickets are 50 cents. Each ride takes 9 to 10 tickets.

You can buy tickets in advance online - or buy a block of 120 tickets for $50.

CONCERT TICKETS INCLUDE FAIR ADMISSION

Buy a reserved seat to a feature concert in advance and you'll receive free fair admission.
