RIDDLE, Ore. - Firefighters knocked down two small fires in the West Fork of Cow Creek on Wednesday evening, the Douglas Forest Protective Association said.
The two fires were about 18 miles southwest of Riddle. The fires were a couple miles apart.
Firefighters kept one fire to 1/3 acre and the other to 1/2 acre.
If anyone has information regarding the start of any wildfire in Douglas County, they are asked to contact the Douglas Forest Protective Association at (541) 672-6507.
The association responded to the fires with six engines, 20 firefighters, a helicopter and a fixed wing observation aircraft.
Riddle Fire Department also responded with a water tender and an engine.
