15 hurt when trolley, bus collide in San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) Authorities say 15 people, including seven children, were taken to the hospital when a San Francisco bus and trolley car collided.
The trolley appears to have rear-ended the bus a little past 11 a.m. Wednesday. Fire and transportation officials described the most significant injuries as bumps and bruises and said the vehicles' drivers were among those taken to the hospital.
Other people who were injured were treated at the scene.
The cause of the crash and how fast the trolley was going at the time are under investigation.
The kids who were injured were on the bus and were part of a day camp group. The San Francisco Chronicle reports (http://bit.ly/11ab2o1) that at least a dozen children sat on the sidewalk holding ice packs to their heads after the crash.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
