'100 Things to Do in Eugene Before You Die': Local author debuts book
EUGENE, Ore. -- If you need some things to do this spring and summer, there's a new book outlining the "100 Things to Do in Eugene Before You Die"!
Author Julie Furst Henning wrote it with help from Travel Lane County.
The book features 100 of Eugene's must-see locations and must-do activities, from watching the Crowning of the Slug Queen to hiking Spencer Butte.
Henning says she was inspired to write the book after moving here a few years ago.
"A lot of the things that I tried to include offer a lot of local history," Henning says, "so, even if you've lived here forever, you can find the backstory or get some new ideas."
And Julie took Oregon's weather into account as well.
She says there's a good mix of indoor and outdoor activities for Oregon's rainy months.
There's a book release party Wednesday night at Travel Lane County's Adventure and Visitor Center.
