Graffiti Weekend more than just classic cars

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. -- One of the county's biggest tourism draws is coming up this week.

Graffiti Weekend, now in it's 31st year, has become a Douglas County staple.

The five day festival is full of events centered around classic and antique cars.

The fun kicks off this Wednesday with a show at the VA golf course from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Throughout the rest of the weekend, organizers will also have several other show and shines, along with an auction, swap meet, and more.

Jean Kurtz of the Roseburg Visitor's Center says the 5-day event is one of the biggest tourist draws of the year. "A lot of people come into town and they stay in our hotels, they eat in our restaurants, they shop in our stores, and this is wonderful because this is economic development," she said. "And also, this is a great opportunity to show off our little town and our area and the land of Umpqua."
