Patricia Rogers Garcia is a dedicated businesswoman.

"I always had it in the back of my head, is that someday, I'm going to start my own salsa business," Garcia told me.

Three and a half years later, she's built a small empire on the back of zesty salsa and delicious tamales.

"We didn't have a lot of money growing up, and I always thought, you know what? I will never be hungry. And I will always have a job because I can make tamales and can follow my mothers steps," Garcia said.

Full disclosure, I am obsessed with this salsa. I have been know to eat it with a spoon.

Embarrassing? Maybe.

Delicious? Yes.

Garcia also whips up tamales and tamale pies- she says they're just as popular as her salsa collection.

Garcia hopes to one day expand her salsa empire past Eugene, and throughout the Pacific Northwest.

More Salsa Garcia? That's something to celebrate.
