EUGENE, Ore. - KVAL News is teaming up with Greenhill Humane Society to raise money for shelter animals in our community.

All day Tuesday, March 14, we'll be broadcasting live from Greenhill Humane Society. Call (541) 689-0983 to make your donation. There are plenty of people ready to answer your call.

One donor offered to match all donations received Tuesday, up to $25,000.

Thursday, Greenhill Humane Society announced they plan to start a $5.6 million renovation project this summer. They have almost $1 million in savings, but need to raise $4.7 million for the upgrade project.

The Pet Project Tail-A-Thon hopes to help them with the cost.

Tuesday, the KVAL News team will interview Greenhill Humane Society employees to find out how important this new facility is to the animals.

H & H Veterinary Care is also supporting the event. We spoke with Rachel to find out why they care so much about Greenhill Humane Society.
