A pet goat is on the loose in Springfield

Little Red (SBG, Pablo Duarte)

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - A Springfield man is asking the public to help find his pet goat.

Pablo Duarte owns a miniature farm in Springfield, and bought a brown goat named "Little Red" on Sunday.

He said he bought the animal, and two of it's babies, as a surprise for his 11-year-old nephew, who wants to grow up to be a farmer.

The same day they got little red, she jumped over her four-foot fence and ran away.

Duarte said when she comes home, he will make sure she is more secure.

"She has a four-foot fence now that I'm hoping she wouldn't be able to jump out of, including a double lock on the door," said Duarte.

Duarte is offering a $100 reward to anyone who brings Little Red home.

He thinks she is still in the Clearwater Park area, because neighbors have reported sightings.

If you see "little red," don't approach her or chase her down, she may be scared.

He asks that you keep her in sight and call him at (541) 968-1630.
