The Springfield girls defeated South Eugene 68-40 Thursday night to remain unbeaten in the Midwestern Hybrid League.
The Axe tied the game at nine in the first quarter on a bucket by McKenna Vanderkley, but the Millers closed the quarter on an 11-0 run to lead 20-9.
Springfield is now 6-0 in the hybrid league. The Millers will host Sheldon on Monday. The Irish defeated Springfield earlier in the season 44-40 at Sheldon.
Elsewhere Marist defeated Marshfield 54-41 and Willamette beat Churchill 64-24.
The Irish boys knocked off Thurston 51-39 Thursday night. Logan Davis had 12 and Mike Ralston added 11.
Sheldon took a 17 point lead in third quarter on a Yadie Dunmore three pointer, but the Colts responded with a 9-0 to close to 33-25.
That's as close at Thurston got. The Irish have won eight straight. They are 6-0 in the Midwestern Hybrid League.
