KLCC changes lineup for first time in over 10 years
KLCC radio's first major programming change in over a decade begins Monday, Oct. 3.
Over 1,700 listeners participated in surveys and other research conducted over the past nine months, the station said.
The music program Fresh Tracks is gone. In its place, KLCC plans to air syndicated NPR content in the mornings and a new local music and arts show in the afternoon.
The morning lineup will feature Fresh Air at a new time at 9 a.m. followed by NPR's Tell Me More at 10 a.m.
Monday through Thursday, NPR's Talk of the Nation will air at 11 a.m. Science Friday will round out the week at 11 a.m.
The KLCC Music Department has created a brand new music and arts show to air from noon to 3 p.m. Living Large, hosted by Eric Alan and produced by Michael Canning, brings listeners music, arts and culture. "The best new music releases merged with live performances, interviews, stories and heritage songs that have gained new meaning over time," the station said in a press release.
The station also added more of the national NPR news programs Morning Edition and All Things Considered.
