EUGENE, Ore. - The Disciples of Dirt, University of Oregon outdoor program and The Greater Oakridge Area Trail Stewards (GOATS) plan to rebuild the Goodman Creek trail bottom (Hardesty trailhead) to top (Eagles Rest).
Meet February 2-3 at 9 a.m. at the Hardesty trailhead on Highway 58 to get your assignment and tools.
The plan is to rework bridges, fix drainages, clear fallen trees, improve tread and do anything else that may be needed.
Goodman Creek is a very loved and highly used trail by multiple user groups including but not limited to hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians.
Hardesty trailhead is 7.7 miles east on Highway 58 from the City of Lowell junction to the Hardesty Mountain Trailhead, approximately 10.8 miles west of the Middle Fork Ranger District office.
